Hello Class!
It was a pleasure meeting all of you yesterday. I look forward to seeing you all again in a month.
Here is what's on the schedule for this week:
***Midterm: The test will be open as of 12:01am on September 28th, and must be completed by October 4th at 11:59pm.
***Speech Topic Submission: You must have a topic for the Informative Speech Assignment chosen by Friday, October 3rd at 10:00am. I will post a message on my blog that will be titled: "Speech Topic" at some point this week. Please leave a message on my blog with your speech topic. I only have two restrictions for speech topics: 1). No medical issues and 2). No issues such as "gun control", "abortion", "drugs", etc... These topics we hear about ALL THE TIME and we probably don't want to hear about them again. Your topic should be one that can be researched. You will NEED TO HAVE 4 DIFFERENT SOURCES - AND ONLY ONE CAN BE FROM THE INTERNET. You will have to look for books, magazine articles, peer reviewed journal articles, etc... as sources for this speech. In other words, you will need to have credible research for your speeches.
***Self-Evaluation: You should post your self-evaluations by the end of this week on October 4th @ 11:59pm ON YOUR BLOG. No need to email it to me.
I will be posting a bit this week regarding your Informative Speeches, so please check back often. I have notes from class to help you along with the next speech (things to improve your grades). :) Have a great day!!!
