Grades, Grades and more Grades...

I have received a few emails over the last week with inquiries about grades. Here is the beautiful part about online classes.......your grades are always available to you. You can calculate your grade by adding up all of YOUR POINTS and DIVIDE THAT BY THE TOTAL NUMBER OF POINTS POSSIBLE. By doing this you will figure out your total percentage in the class.

Now is a good time to see where you stand in the class. I encourage every person in the class to log onto Blackboard and check out your grade. By doing this we may see something we really like, or maybe something we don't like so much.

BEFORE YOU LOG ONTO BLACKBOARD.....READ THE NEXT STATEMENT PLEASE!!!!!

We have already covered 605 points in the class. That mean we have approximately 395 points to go. If your grade is calculated out to a percentage that you "don't like", you STILL HAVE TIME TO RAISE YOUR GRADE. Here is what we have left in the semester:

*Discussion week November 16-22 (this week)......25 points
*Persuasive Outline.......40 points
*Persuasive Speech 250 points (yes, you read that correctly....250 points is A LOT)
*In class meeting for the Persuasive Speech........10 points
*Self Evaluation #3......10 points
*Discussion week December 7-10......25 points
*Final Exam.......35 points

Total points left: 395!

The key for those of you that WANT to raise your grade - participate in everything we have left in the course. Also, the Persuasive Speech has quite a few points associated with it, so please keep in touch with my blog over the next week or so for updates and tips for the next speech.

Speeches have overall improved since the start of the semester, which is a good thing. This last and final speech in the course should exhibit EVERYTHING you have learned so far in the course.

Let me know if y'all have any questions. :)
